Our Engineering Journey for Knowledge Acquisition and Transfer - Efforts of Indian Diaspora

This lecture was delivered on 19 March 2011 in Tamilnadu Engineers Forum (TEF-Kuwait).

Indian Diaspora, the second largest in the world, is very special to India. As part of GoI's strategic focus on the Indian Diaspora, MOIA seeks to establish an institutional framework for sustainable engagement to lead the knowledge, expertise, skills and resources of the vast and diverse overseas Indian community into home country development efforts. It envisions engaging the Diaspora as 'Knowledge' partners, the institutions in India as 'Stakeholder' partners and the Government as a 'Facilitator'(Source: Ministry of Overseas Indians Affairs, Govt. of India).

Kuwait based industries are employing a large talent pool of Indian Diaspora to achieve tremendous growth in the World Energy Market. Our Engineers from Tamilnadu region are active partners of this knowledge community. We are going through various phases of Knowledge Cycle.

Our Engineering Journey for Knowledge Acquisition and Transfer lays a foundation for collaboration with our counterparts and various institutions in India to make her Superpower.
